Varenne Ranch Jacket

One of the latest developments by Shangri-La Heritage is their ‘Varenne’ Ranch Selvedge Denim Jacket. The name ‘Varenne’ is a tribute to the legendary Italian horse, the best racer of all time.

This jacket is inspired by the late 1940s sports and workwear jackets and revisited with a unique Italian touch.

Details Of The Jacket

The jacket has one chest pocket, and two lower slanted ones, all with a zipper closure. The entire jacket is stitched with white contrast thread, a typical workwear detail. On the back of the jacket are two buckles, so you can adjust it if you prefer.

The Selvedge Fabric

The ‘Varenne’ jacket is made with a redline selvedge fabric from the Candiani mill. It’s a 13oz right-hand fabric with an open weave construction with a marked salt and pepper effect.

This fabric has the special ‘V Sizing’, a vegetal sizing compound used in the dyeing process, 100% biodegradable and non-toxic. It replaces all hazardous chemicals like PVA to ensure a micro-plastics Free Dye process.

The Leather On The Jacket

The leather of the jacket comes from the Calfiskin Suede from Tuscany, Italy. It is used for the collar and on the inside of the cuffs. Over time this will age nicely with the denim fabric.

Made In Italy

As the fabric and leather are coming from Italy. And, the jacket is made in Italy as well, it’s a true made in Italy style. It will be available very soon by the Shangri-La Heritage brand.
