The 6th Annual Leather Jacket
This Friday, January 7th, 3Sixteen will release their sixth annual leather jacket collaboration with Schott NYC. Together they worked to develop a brand new silhouette based on the 3Sixteen best-selling Type 3s denim jacket.
Based On The Popular Type 3s Style
After making custom double rider jackets with Schott for the past five years, 3Sixteen felt it was time to make the next step and to develop an exclusive jacket style. The outcome is a leather version of the popular Type 3s silhouette that features every detail from the signature crossed back yoke to the clean waistband, modified body length, and hand pockets.
Other details of the jacket include a fully black satin-lined body, the 3Sixteen custom YKK gunmetal two-prong shanks, and a hidden inner chest pocket for additional functionality. The pattern of the jacket is made relaxed so you can easily layer during colder days.
As a reference to the original vintage Big E Trucker jacket from the 1950s and 1960s, they sourced a copper cowhide with a roughout look. This leather type will age beautifully with time and wear, just like denim fabrics.
