Story MFG Fall Winter 2018 Lunar Island Collection
The new Story MFG Fall Winter collection has landed. Their new collection is inspired by the Lunar Island. According to Story MFG this island is a small crescent-shaped landmass found off the western coast of France. It has been inhabited by the Al-Habibi family since the late 7th Century AD. The island was conquered in the early Arab expansion by the revered Bilal Al-Habibi who quickly named himself lord of the manor and erected the Island Fortress as the furthest outpost of the Arab empire.
Details Of The Collection
The collection contains styles for women and men. As always they created their own signature which turned-out very nice. The styles are military, workwear, denim and heritage related. Also the colour range refers to these timeless influences; blue, green, brown and ecru. But there’re also more colourful ones included. A lot of the styles have a unisex look, so both wearable for women and men.
The fabrics are a divers mix of handloomed denim, corduroy, velvet fabrics in indigo, yellow and black, reclaimed printing table blotting fabric to name a few.
Highlight Of The Collection
One of the highlighted styles is the ecru worker jacket. It has embroidered palmtrees on the front. It’s made of organic cotton canvas fabric and it’s sunbleached with earth salts. The buttons of the jacket are made of 100% Corozo. This jacket gives you the ultimate island feeling and is a perfect link to the collection theme.
