The TdN X Vans Vault Authentic Edition

Since yesterday the stores in The Netherlands opened their doors again for months. To celebrate this the Amsterdam-based Tenue de Nîmes store released a new special: TDN x AMS Vans Vault Authentic. This classic footwear is customized by the store and is available in three different colors; classic white, navy, and black.

Printed Heart Design

The collaboration sneaker features a printed heart on the left nose and the right side of each pair. The heart is chosen as a symbol of love to stimulate the positive Amsterdam vibe and the re-opening of their stores. It’s also a big head-up to their loyal customers that shopped at them during the Covid situation. The crowd that supported them in these challenging times.

The History Of The Vans Authenitc Style

The Authentic style by Vans was originally released in 1966 when brothers Paul van Doren and Jim van Doren started the Vans company along with their partners Gordon Lee and Serge Delia in California. When they started on the 16th of March, that first morning 12 customers purchased their shoes, which were made that same day and were ready for pick-up in the afternoon.

Their first footwear style was named #44 Deck Shoes, but are nowadays known as the Authentic. With the Vans Vault collection, the skateboard brand celebrates this history and the legacy of craft by elevating iconic designs through choice materials and meticulous attention to detail.

The Special Features

The limited-edition Tenue de Nîmes X Vault by Vans features higher foxing tape, the classic waffle rubber sole, and flat laces. On the heel, there’s the iconic contrast red/white logo tab. The uppers are made of sturdy canvas and feature the special TdN heart graphic design.
