A 100% American Made Pair Of Jeans
Today, Tellason released their 100% made-in-American pair of jeans. This jeans is produced with American-made selvedge denim fabric woven by the Proximity Manufacturing Company. The outcome is a classic straight-leg five-pocket pair of jeans.
The Proximity Manufacturing Company
The right-hand selvedge denim fabric with plain ID is produced on the old White Oak Draper looms in Greensboro, North Carolina. Former White Oak employees are involved in the Proximity Manufacturing Company project. Together they keep the American denim history alive by producing high-quality selvedge fabrics like the old days on the original hardwood floors inside the White Oak Cotton Mill, formerly occupied by Cone Denim.
The Selvedge Fabric
The woven selvedge denim fabric is loom state, so not Sanforized, and shrink-to-fit. This means that it will shrink approximately around 10% after the first wash. But, if you’re normally wearing a waist size 32, then order a size 32, as it will come in at 34 to accommodate shrinkage.
The Tellason x Proximity Manufacturing Company jeans have a high-rise, hidden back pocket rivets and a special Tellason x Proximity Mfg. Co. patch with graphic design. While the fabric is woven in Greensboro, the jeans itself is produced in San Francisco, California – USA.
The Tellason jeans is made in a limited run of 116 hand-numbered pairs to signify White Oak’s opening year of 1905 and the year this project was started (1905 + 116 = 2021). So, act fast if you want to wear a piece of true American denim pride.
