New Made In Italy Collection
PeppinoPeppino by Simona Testucci just developed her third capsule collection. The first collection was released, and a spin-off, after the launch of her online magazine in 2015. The first two collections of the women’s brand were successfully received, so this new third collection is again a warm welcome.
The new collection is based on classic and timeless styles, but also characteristic pieces from workwear, military, and Japanese street style. The collection is made with eco-friendly treatments, vegan branding, deadstock buttons and fabrics, authentic washes, and unique branding elements.
Highlights Of The Collection
The collection contains again some must-have pieces, as the WW2 inspired deck overall from the American navy. Its made of 100% cotton, and 12oz denim fabric. Another one is the Collarless Denim Jacket. It’s available in two washes, mid-blue, and rinse. Based on the vintage Trucker jacket with frontal pleats, and authentic round bartacks. It has an a-line silhouette for a more feminine appeal. Made as a one size fits all.
The Monkey Pants is also based on US Military pants. This style is oversized, so a baggy fit, featuring utilitarian front and back pocket details as the original worn by the US soldiers. Available in denim, and chambray quality.
Other styles are a classic Fisherman Smock made with a chambray selvedge fabric, updated with an intentionally exaggerated mock collar, full-length sleeves with big patch pocket details. But, also the iconic French Sailor Shirt is included made with a fine chambray selvedge, visible at bottom hem and sleeves.
Of course, the core of the collection is five-pocket jeans made with Tobacco color thread. A cornerstone in everyone’s wardrobe.
The new Peppino Peppino collection will be available very soon at their webstore, so keep an eye on their site. The collection is made in Italy with the support of pattern expert Alessio Berto (read more about him here).
