We Got The Blues
‘We got the blues’ is the theme of the 4th collection by women’s brand PeppinoPeppino. Their new Winter ’21 collection continues their approach by taking inspiration from vintage pieces. All focussed on timeless denim styles they created again an outstanding look, different than the mainstream denim market.
The Philosophy Of The Brand
PeppinoPeppino is challenging the traditional constraints of fashion. They dismiss the confinement of genders and generation. With the brand, they aim to outfit those who share this mindset of freedom. Created for all sorts of people they believe in reflection, resurrection, and reinvention. These core principles echo the true spirit of sustainability.
Each PeppinoPeppino piece is a derivative of a unique, handpicked piece from times otherwise forgotten. The brand is driven by the beauty and authenticity of time-honored silhouettes. They embrace the past to form the future.
Highlights Of The Collection
The collection has as always a good balance in a different type of styles. Classics as a straight leg denim chino with a relaxed fit is included. This pant is made with Candiani selvedge denim fabric, 13 oz, and features deadstock buttons. Other highlights are the WWII US Navy deck denim overall, collarless denim jacket with a relaxed fit, and iconic five pocket jeans.
For this season they developed also a US Army denim coverall, an oversized and loose fit style with wide legs with cargo pockets. Another icon is the 1950’s inspired Royal Canadian Navy deck pant.
There’re also a few authentic inspired pants in the collection like the US M-51 Korean war era denim chino pant, 50’ carpenter denim pant, and the British army denim pant.
Next to pants, there’re also must have tops as the short M65 fishtail parka, the French military jacket, and the military padded vest. As always, the entire is collection is made in Italy.
The PeppinoPeppino collection is created in cooperation with pattern specialist and designer Alessio Berto from Italy. The vintage props and tops are coming from the must-visit CKX Studio store in Amsterdam.
