A New Seasonal Collaboration With Dutch Illustrator Hedof
Each season Denham is joining forces with a creative mind that inspires the brand. They ask international artists and designers to use the famous Denham scissor and other brand ingredients in a new and creative way. Every collaboration is based on shared ideas and after thoughtful conversations, the outcome is always surprising. For this Spring Summer ’22 season Denham teamed up with Dutch illustrator Rick Berkelmans, better known as Hedof.
The Man Behind Hedof
Hedof is known for his colorful illustrations with compositions and landscapes. His work is giving a positive and unique reflection and character on the world’s view. One of his main inspiration sources is coming from the Asian culture, and mostly from vinyl toys and pop culture. His work goes from graphic designs to 3D installations to packaging and clothing.
The Denham x Hedof Collaboration
For this special seasonal collaboration, Hedof was asked to create a story influenced by Japanese and Asian symbols and their meanings. These represent Denham’s East meets West mentality. The graphic theme is determined by The Art of the Bonsai, in addition to The Year of the Tiger, Japanese Geisha dolls, and the scissors of course.
The outcomes are t-shirts and classic hoodies with colorful designs. Even a pair of jeans is made with an embroidery on the back pocket that fuses the Bonsai with Denham’s scissors. The graphic designs are made with the scissor as the leading element. Playful characters and wonky shapes merge into vibrant, charming outbursts of color and form in the collab.
The Release Of The Collaboration Collection
The Denham x Hedof House Guest Artist series (HGA #18) will be officially released this week on Thursday the 17th of March.
