Denham Meets Armor-Lux
Denham’s latest collaboration with Armor-Lux has just been released for this Spring. The outcome is a modern workwear collection influenced by timeless French nautical styles. The collection for women and men is cut, knitted, and stitched using high-quality fabrics and materials.
The Armor-Lux Brand
The Brittany-based Armor-Lux brand is a knitwear specialist known for its iconic sweaters with Breton stripes. They’ve been creating collections already since 1938. Always inspired by French sailing traditions and synonymous with maritime clothing. Within almost 90 years, the brand has been making timeless pieces from sweaters to fishing smocks.
For the Denham x Armor-Lux collection, they combined the integrity and expertise of both brands. Authentic denim is mixed with classic knitwear. And each style tells its own story of tradition and craftsmanship in combination with the Breton landscape.
The Collaboration Collection
The new collaboration collection is responsibly designed and uses 100% regenerative cotton, 12oz denim, and 1 oz ‘loomstate’ ecru denim. The denim fabrics are woven in Italy by Candiani Denim. Both men’s and women’s jeans are made from the same denim fabric to share production consumption. The natural fabrics in ecru and the indigo denim have been treated with gentle washes, inspired by the tides of the Breton Côtes-d’Armor. This means that fewer processes are required and less water is used. This way the impact on the environment is minimal.
The classic Armor-Lux sweaters and cardigans have been given the legendary stripe pattern, with the same quality for which the brand is known. The items are all knitted and produced with organic cotton on advanced circular knitting machines in Brittany, France.
