- What is your favorite pair of jeans?
My one and only love at present is the Penn ‘Arroyo’ by Tenue. I own it in 3 sizes because the fit is so versatile; I like to wear it a little snug, roomy or super oversized. It may sound weird but this jean is just the perfect color and playing around with cuts makes it suitable for any mood! The name ‘Penn’ is a tribute to Sean Penn. I found an awesome picture of Sean Penn and Madonna in Beverly Hills in (what I guess was) the early 1990s wearing the same pair of jeans, both in their unique way. Sean Penn wore it slim straight, sexy. Madonna wore a destroyed pair with big holes and big turn ups. Both looked simply irresistible.
- What is your favorite music record?
Since Rudy (Read: Rudy Ross, Tenue de Nîmes GM) joined our team I seriously refreshed my musical education. Thanks to Rudy I came across the band The War on Drugs. Their latest album ‘I Don’t Live Here Anymore’ is one I listen to on a daily basis.
- What is your favorite footwear brand?
In Autumn/Winter my favorite footwear is without a doubt Red Wing Shoes. During sunny days however I can’t go without my beloved Vans sneakers.
- What is your favorite denim design?
I believe our Tenue. Penn jeans in the ‘Arroyo’ wash can become a modern version of the 501. It’s incredible to create a unisex jean that becomes the perfect everyday denim to so many men and women out there.
- What is your favorite holiday destination?
Since I am not really one to sit down for a week, I prefer active holidays. Personally, I believe snowboarding in the Dolomites brings everything together: sports, family time, great food and Italian (red) wine.
- What is your favorite meal?
Because there is a hidden Italian inside of me, I’d have to say ‘pasta aglio et olio’. I could really eat pasta 3 times a day.
- What is your favorite denim jacket?
My denim journey started with my parents’ closet, where they kept all their 60s and 70s denim gems. My favorite steal was a ‘Big E’ Levi’s Type 3 Trucker in a baby blue ‘duck’ fabric. I recently framed it and it has been hanging behind my desk ever since. I take a moment to look at it every day.
- What is your favorite achievement?
Of course I am proud of what I’ve achieved so far, but I’m sure the best is yet to come! Looking at the world today I am genuinely proud I found something to do that I love, every day. Not many people I know are as lucky as I am: to live inside my dream.
