The Black Kimono

The Tenue. brand by the Tenue de Nîmes store in Amsterdam released a limited batch of the Double Black Denim Kimono. This special Kimono is a follow-up on their successful previous denim versions. But, this time in black.

Black Selvedge Fabric

The Tenue. Kimono’s are made again by the Tenue de Nîmes’ tailor Joery. This time he used a 13.5oz double black selvedge fabric from the Italian Candiani denim mill. So, the fabric is woven with a black warp and black weft. The kimono has been rinsed, for a softer feeling, and there’s a Chambray detail added.

Over time the Kimono will fade, just like your pair of jeans, and will be more beautiful.

Limited Run Of 50 Pieces

The Kimono is made in one size, so one size fits all. Ready to wear for women and men. Made in a limited run of 50 pieces only, which are all hand-numbered by using a vintage Singer embroidery machine from the 1930s.

Made In Amsterdam

The Tenue. Kimono’s are made in the Tenue de Nîmes’ atelier in Amsterdam which is part of their Haarlemmerstraat store.
