The Release Of Triumph’s Mo Jungle N1 Deck Jacket
The iconic British motorcycle brand Triumph celebrates its 120-year anniversary this year. Next to making motorcycles, the brand has a lifestyle clothing collection too. Part of this collection is the Mo Jungle N1 Deck Jacket in indigo. A timeless piece that keeps you warm all-year round.
A Take On A Classic Jacket Style
The Triumph N1 Deck jacket is the brand’s take on a classic jacket style. A jacket design that goes back to the 1940s when the US Navy introduced it during World War 2. The Triumph version is made from heavy 100% cotton jungle cloth and a super warm yarn-dyed lining. The jacket is finished with authentic details including knitted storm cuffs and a throat strap for added protection from the elements. While this is not a protective item it gives some biker style to your everyday life.
The Origin Of The N1 Deck Jacket Design
The N1 Deck Jacket was originally designed for Navy sailors around 1943. They needed a sturdy jacket that kept them warm, especially when they were at sea which could be tough and cold. The originals were made with a wool lining, but Triumph created a more sophisticated striped lining that matches the indigo outer fabric.
The first models of the N1 Deck Jacket were made in darker colors such as navy blue and also black, but soon they switched to green and khaki colors because these two colors matched better with operations. The originals can be recognized most of the time by the USN stencils on the chest, especially when this stencil is faded with the jacket itself. Even after Wartime, many soldiers keep wearing their N1 Deck Jackets, which ended this jacket style as a true lifestyle piece and linked to the rich and long American clothing heritage.
The Special Features Of The Jacket
The Triumph Mo Jungle M1 Deck Jacket is made with 100% cotton jungle cloth as the outer. The inside is made of 77% polyester, 12% wool, and 11% mix. A super warm lining for colder Winter days. The collar is made with an indigo color cord fabric that matches perfectly with the outer fabric. There’s a zipper closure with an extra indigo button front. The cuffs are knitted and so attached to the sleeves that there’s no wind coming inside. Perfect when riding your motorcycle or riding your bike. To keep yourself extra warm, Triumph added also a throat strap so you can also wear the collar up. Just like the sailors did back in the day.
On the front, there’re two handwarmer pockets so you won’t get cold hands while exploring your favorite cities or doing your everyday groceries.
