The Spring Summer 22 Look Book
The genderless vintage and workwear-inspired Italian brand PeppinoPeppino released their new SS22 look book. Their outstanding collection approach is their mantra since day one, and now they even expanded it by using deadstock fabrics and buttons, eco-washes, and vegan and recycled branding. They even included a Primetta bag that is made with seconds denim scraps.
The eco-friendly approach of the brand achieved that they’re selected as a responsible denim brand by showcasing their products at Biffi Milan on the occasion of the sustainable evolution by WSM White.
The new Spring Summer collection is divided into two chapters; The Originals and The Seasonals. As the chapters already describe, The Originals is about essentials, classics in the collection, while The Seasonals is focussed on styles that are particularly made for Spring Summer.
The Originals contains styles as a denim chino, five-pocket (available in two versions), WW2 US Navy deck denim overall (available in two versions), collarless denim jacket, Carpenter pants, and a 1950s inspired overall.
The Seasonals chapter features styles as 1950’s ecru workwear Carpenter pants, workwear Cargo overall in ecru and denim fabrics, antique French workwear smock, workwear jacket in ecru and denim, British army jungle pants, 1970s Swiss army denim pants, Italian army denim pants, British army t-shirt in several colors, and a denim deck vest.
All the denim fabrics used in the collection are coming from Candiani, 13oz non-selvedge, and selvedge. The trims as deadstock buttons and vegan back patches.
This season PeppinoPeppino has patterned with the Italian socks brand Heritage 9.1 to create a unique and authentic pair of socks with knee-length which are inspired by the ones worn by the rugby players in the ’50. They’re available in 3 colorways: navy blue/military green and red matched with off-white.
The PeppinoPeppino collection lookbook is shot by Delphine Chevalier and the collection itself is created in cooperation with pattern specialist and designer Alessio Berto from Italy. The vintage props and tops are coming from the CKX Studio and RedVintageCoWest stores.
