The Real McCoy’s L-2A Thunderbirds Bomber Jacket
The Real McCoy’s are known of their high-quality reproductions of classic styles. One of them is this L-2A Thunderbird bomber jacket.
During the 1940’s the US military tested a lot of different types of fabric for their flying jackets. In the end the nylon version came out to be the best option to use. The Type L-2A is the replacement from it’s forerunner L-2 and the main difference between those two jackets is the color. The Air Force Blue was the color that the US Air Force designated when they finally became independent from the U.S. Army.
