Indigo Invitational

The Second Edition Of This Year’s Indigo Invitational

The Top 10 of the second edition of  Indigo Invitational is announced! This year more than 850 competitive faders registered for the competition, with dozens of countries and more than 100 brands represented. Every competitor started with a pair of fresh raw denim of their choosing. The only thing they had to do is to rock their favorite pair for 365 days to achieve the heaviest fades.

Recap Of Getting The Top 10 Winners

The founders of Indigo Invitational, Bryan Szabo and Dave Dickinson reviewed each of the 326 finishers, and, with the help of Dave Stewart, aka Japanalogue, they cut the field down to 50 pairs. All registered competitors were allowed to cast 10 votes for their favorites from the Top 50, with each vote being worth a single point. The 16 pairs with the highest point totals went through into the finals. The founders picked 4 deserving wildcards to round out the Top 20.

After reviewing the Top 20, each of the 8 judges (Erik Brodt, Robin Meijerink, Linda Rieswick, Rain Delisle, Simon Giuliani, Wouter Munnichs, Jason Jules, and Ryo Nakakoji) picked their Top 10. Points were awarded for each appearance in one of the judges’ Top 10 lists. Faders were awarded 10 points for each first-place finish, 9 points for each second place, so on and so forth.

When the votes were tabulated, they had two ties in the Top 10. They used first-place finishes to break both ties. The fader with the most tens was given the higher position in their Official Top 10.
