The Ultimate Repair Bag
The two Dutch repair artists Dutch Denim Repair and Sashikodenim came together to create their ultimate ‘Repair Bag’. The bag is handmade that fits up to 10 pairs of jeans.
Two Different Repair Techniques
While Dutch Denim Repair is specialized in repairing jeans with an authentic Singer 47W70 industrial darning machine, Sashikodenim is using the traditional Sashiko technique from Japan. They both support the reuse and repair philosophy to extend the lifetime of your favorite pair of jeans, better said as ‘repair, don’t replace!’.
The Details Of The Bag
The Repair Bag is made from a 16oz. heavy slub Japanese selvedge denim from the Kuroki Mills. It has a two side hand-drawn print to highlight both repair artists. The bag shows a handstitched signature Sashikodenim patch, every patch is different as it’s done by hand. It features a unique zipper construction, YKK zipper with selvedge construction, inside pocket with (unique one of ten) laser engraved veg tanned leather patch.
The bag is constructed with an indigo-dyed yarn that will fade over time. For the straps, they used vegetable-tanned leather straps, riveted for extra durability. The bag is lined with a navy cotton fabric, and measure 55 x 35 x 12 cm.
Limited-Edition
The denim Repair Bag is made in a limited run of 10 pieces only. Designed and made in The Netherlands by Edwin from Dutch Denim Repair and Pey from Sashikodenim.
