The Third Collaboration
For the third time, Levi’s collaborates with Japanese retailer Beams. They created a so-called ‘Super-Wide’ collection for Spring Summer 2022. The collection is based on authentic American Levi’s styles but tweaked into ‘Super-Wide’ fits.
About Retailer Beams
Since the beginning of 1976, Beams is dedicated to the Americana lifestyle. Their first store opened its doors in February 1976 in a tiny space of only 21.5 square meters (231 square feet), but nowadays they have approx. 150 stores which are widely spread across Japan, while its international locations include Taipei, Hong Kong, Beijing, and Bangkok.
The Collaboration Collection
The Levi’s x Beams collection sees old-school versions of the legendary Trucker jacket, the classic Type-1 style, but with a stretched-out wider and baggier fit. Next to the jacket, they developed a simple plain pocket tee, and jeans too. The jeans is a straight button fly pair of jeans.
All the items in the ‘Super-Wide’ collection feature super-wide details next to the fits as the back patch, pockets, and even the button fly. Everything is super wide which makes this collaboration super special. The super-wide back patch is branded with Beams in orange next to the original Levi’s design. Inside the Type-1 Trucker jacket, they used a selvedge seam, something that isn’t common on the regular version. To top it off, the washing are vintage-inspired as they have a faded finish.
Availability Of The Collection
The Levi’s x Beams collaboration collection will launch on the 6th of January and will be available via selected retailers as End Clothing.
