The World Famous Hats & Caps by Stetson
The hats of Stetson are known worldwide today. Their journey started in 1865 when founder John B. Stetson launched the ’10 Gallon Hat’ which was an instant hit. This famous hat got it’s name from the fact that you could take as much as 10 gallons of water in it. Founder John consisted in any case of water-resistant felt material. And with that he had strong values for his brand: protection for the wearer with rainy days and it was handy to take water from the source to his overnight spot. A legend was born.
Soon after this first success the collection expanded with more iconic styles. Nowadays their collection has an enormous choice of materials and models. It offers a huge range of caps; from baseball caps, army caps to the voluminous balloon caps, which are also part of the hatteras models which are always part of the latest Stetson collections.
Every year Stetson scores with it’s Winter and Summer collections and the timeless basics for men and women that are portable all year round. During Fall the weather-resistant felt hats are very popular and during the Winter months the pilot hats, beanies and pomponnettes take over the leading role. At the beginning of the year they switch to army caps, flat caps and baseball caps. Summer time means time for light and airy models and then the straw hats and straw caps make their entrance. You read that right, Stetson offers products for the whole year around. And for any occasion.
