Vintage Levi’s ‘Big E’ Biker Vest
Another vintage Levi’s denim jacket from my private archive that was transformed into a so-called biker vest. It’s a ‘Big E’ (produed before 1971) biker vest from the 1960’s. The jacket has a great patina and cut-off sleeves as it belonged to a biker from the ’60’s era.
The Details Of The Jacket
The back of the buttons of this Levi’s vest are stamped with digit #525 which refers to the vibrating sixties. The ‘Big E’ Red Tab is still in very good condition for it’s age. On the back of the vest, you see a super nice fading which is the result of ridingthe motorcycle while wearing the vest for so many years. Above the great back fading, you see H. Angel marked by hand. An example of a free spirit that used the denim jacket as a canvas to express him or herself. Something that was done very often during the 1950’s and 1960’s with these kind of denim jackets.
