Quill Bobbins
Since the White Oak plant by Cone Denim is closed you can still buy some pieces from the legendary mill. In the past, you could buy their original wooden shuttles for example, but these were sold out very quickly.
Another must-have is the authentic quill bobbin from the mill. They were part of the loom when the legendary mill was still operating.
What’s A Bobbin
A bobbin is a spindle on which yarn/thread is wound. Bobbins were used to weave the fabric on the original shuttle looms at the plant.
Each of the vintage White Oak keepsake quill bobbins is unique. Some are marked with various paint colors signifying the different beautiful shades of indigo yarn.
Features
The White Oak quill bobbins are coming in a special denim holder with a natural leather button closure. They sew a White Oak label on top. And the dimensions are 7 ½” H x 3” W x 1 ½ “ D.
