Selvedge Fabric By Amhot Mills, Japan
Nudie jeans shared another user story. This time from Jeppe and his pair of Steady Eddie II Dry Ace Selvage. It’s a great pair which is made with a beautiful, sturdy, 14.2oz, red cast selvage denim woven by Amhot Mills in Osaka, Japan.
The warp yarns have been dip-dyed 20 times in pure indigo, giving the jeans its dark, pure indigo, red cast tone. The naturally slubby yarns, woven under low-tension has produced the perfectly chunky and uneven surface structure.
14.000 Steps Each Day
Jeppe wore the jeans when he was a stay-at-home dad, taking care of his family, keeping the home nice and tidy, hanging out at playgrounds, and so on. Paternal leave is perfect to break in your jeans are you’re walking miles with the stroller. He made around 14.000 steps each day, so whiskers and honeycombs are guaranteed.
Between mid-December 2018 and October first, the year after, Jeppe wore his Dry Ace Selvage every waking hour. Except for the entire month of July, and a week on a family vacation, when shorts were the saner alternative.
Although his own me time is limited as being a dad of two, he still made it to ride his bike, sleeping in a tent, hanging out at festivals, and so on.
11 Months Of Wear
The Nudie Steady Eddie II Dry Ace Selvage jeans were worn for 11 months and is washed once by Jeppe. The outcome of his natural wear pattern is perfect, not too light, and with great contrast wear lines as whiskers, phone fade, knee fades, and honeycombs. Ready for another 11 months of intense wear!
