Worn-Out Projects X Tenue de Nîmes Pablo Jeans

  • Owner: Menno van Meurs – NL. Owner of denim store Tenue de Nîmes in Amsterdam.
  • Brand: Tenue de Nîmes Pablo jeans.
  • Age: 24 months
  • Info: Exactly two years ago Tenue de Nîmes launched their first Pablo jeans. In August 2015 they released the first jeans made from Rampuya’s beautiful ‘Memphis’ shade, a 14,5 oz Japanese denim fabric. The run was limited to 140 pairs and ran out before they knew it. Menno picked a pair in his size and basically never took them off after. As you can see on the pictures the jeans are worn a lot and he have soaked his jeans 4 times now. The first time was after 8 months of wear. For those of you who are wondering what the funny patches are on the inside of the legs: This is collateral damage of a bad call Menno made when he just had the jeans. He decided to taper the legs a little bit. Unfortunately he regret his decision because in the winter after he bought his first Red Wing Pecos boots which he couldn’t wear underneath his Pablo jeans anymore. Therefore he decided to use some of the original fabric he had left from hemming his jeans and made in straight again. Joery from our Denim & Repairs room at the Tenue de Nîmes Haarlemmerstraat store decided he wanted to adorn the inside of the leg with various original scrapes of Japanese to cover up the surgery.
