Wrangler Presents Sustainable Denim Collection: Indigood
It’s no secret anymore that within the production of a pair of jeans a lot of water is needed. Nowadays a lot of new innovative technologies helps to reduce this. Wrangler just developed such modern technology which they used for their latest denim collection: Indigood.
Unique Foam-Dyeing Technique
Indigood is a new method to dye the yarns with the legendary blue indigo color. The new method is a foam-dyeing technique which reduces 100% water in the process and wastewater is virtually eliminated. Next to that, both energy use and waste are reduced by more than 60% when compared to conventional denim dyeing. This new development is revolutionary within the denim industry.
28% Recycled Cotton & Recycled Plastics
The Wrangler Indigood collection is made of at least 28% recycled cotton. The labels are made of recycled plastics and rivets and metal hardware are created using safe chemistry. All the tags are made of 100% recycled paper.
The fades within the Indigood collection are created with technologies as ozone and lasers to avoid chemicals. As Wrangler says about their Indigood collection: ”It’s our most sustainable denim collection ever made”. It’s Wrevolutionary!
