Wrangler X Fred Segal Fall Winter ’19 Capsule Collaboration

Wrangler jeans collaborated with retailer Fred Segal for an outstanding capsule collection for this Fall-Winter. With this collaboration Wrangler brings back some of their iconic designs. The designs are taken from the brand’s archive and date back to the era’s like 1919, the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. The collaboration pieces will be for sale during a six-week pop-up experience at Fred Segal’s flagship store which is located at 8500 Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. The doors went open for public last Saturday.

Limited-Edition Items

The collaboration capsule collection is made as a limited-edition and includes items for both women and men. Many of the products were handmade at the Wrangler Service Supply Center incorporating denim from Cone Mills, which is headquartered in it’s hometown of Greensboro, N.C.

The featured era of the collaboration collection will rotate every few weeks, highlighting one-of-a-kind pieces inspired by each decade’s attitude. The three additional era’s, along with the foundational product in vintage-inspired denim washes and t-shirts, will also be featured in the space throughout the pop-up.

About Fred Segal

Retailer Fred Segal opened it’s doors in 1961, as a fashion and denim lifestyle concept in Los Angeles. This retailer offers an effortless, lifestyle experience inspired by the free-spirited style of L.A. Over the years the retailer is one of the top-notch players in the industry. An unique place where they carry fresh collections from small, but also big(ger) brands next to food and pop culture experiences.

In addition to it’s flagship location on Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood, CA, the brand has expanded to Los Angeles International Airport’s International Terminal, Malibu Village and has opened stores in Europe & Asia including Taipei, Zurich, Basel, Bern and Lausanne.

The 1919 Blue Bell Collection

One of the decades of the collaboration are the 1919 pieces. These items refer to the Wrangler roots, the period when the Blue Bell Overall Company was born. The items are a celebration of the foundation of the brand and include workwear pieces as the legendary Coverall, but also the authentic Champion Promo Jacket with Blue Bell patches on the sleeve and embroidery on the back.
