Wrangler Meets MNTGE For A Special Collaboration
Last week, Wrangler Europe released their exciting capsule collection together with the MNTGE brand. For this special collection, vintage Wrangler styles from the 1970s to the 1990s were upcycled with the blockchain NFC technology. Original vintage denim jackets, Western shirts, and pairs of blue jeans of the American denim brand were patched with special collaboration embroidery patches. In one of the patches on each item, an NFC chip was added that shows information on that specific item. This digital receipt gives the wearers more insights into the item as when and where it originally was produced. Exclusive content can also be seen by scanning the NFC chipped patches. On top of that, it shows authentication and claimable 3d assets of each product.
The Future Of Fashion Summit
The Wrangler x MNTGE collection was launched during the third edition of the Future Fashion Summit in Paris, France. A bi-annual initiative by Holly Wood where the finest people of the industry are coming together. This time the unique event was loaded with a curated Wrangler denim expo, live tailor work, and inspiring talks, next to the release of the collab collection. Afterward, a network lunch was organized so people could exchange their experiences.
A Brief Introduction To MNTGE

With the brand, they offer a category-defining experience where the rich heritage of vintage apparel meets the authenticity of blockchain. The outcome are must-have collections of vintage clothing and collectibles for those who appreciate the preservation of vintage clothing in both the physical and digital worlds. Their aim is to create a trusted brand for the next generation of fashion.
The Capsule Collection
The Wrangler x MNGTE collection contains 60 specially sourced vintage styles. All are carefully selected for a limited-edition release. For the design of the patches, inspiration came from the heritage of the Wrangler brand. Inspirations such as the iconic Peter Max and also the original Blue Bell cowboy collections of the brand were used for the embroidery designs. All are very colorful and linked to the history of the denim brand that kicked off in 1947. On the front of each item, smaller embroidery patches were added with text such as ‘I’m in Wrangler‘. On the back, a huge Cowboy hat patch with both brands features in the typical Wrangler brand colors: yellow and blue.
